Salary: US $70-85K negotiable.

We are currently seeking a disciplined and customer orientated ‘Freight Operations Manager’ for our Freight Forwarding business sector. This is a fantastic opportunity for the ‘RIGHT’ person to be a part of a brand new venture supported by a multinational company with over 30 years experience. The core role will be to lead and manage the freight operations team so to ensure our clients receive exceptional service levels.
Responsibilities:
Maintain and ensure adherence to operational procedures in order to achieve operational excellence at all times
Negotiate freight contracts with vendors to ensure excellent buying rates are achieved
Monitor and report key performance parameters in order to facilitate a transparent evaluation of the operations
Regularly liaise with governmental & official bodies such as Customs, Port Authorities
Rollout and manage new products through liaison with cross functional departments
Monitor industry trends and competitor movements on a continuous basis, in order to take proactive steps towards ensuring business growth and profitability.
Ensure a strong team-spirit is created and that all staff perform in a safe and exemplary manner.

Requirements:
Minimum 7 years industry experience within the freight forwarding industry and a minimum of which 5 years at a management level
UAE driving license is essential.
